cramlingtondirect.info1Vehicle maintenance is past the core machinery repair manual skills, the main emphasis on vehicle maintenance technology, and to repair parts for the major maintenance technology, but also assembly and disassembly process to adjust the combination of parts repair process. The tools we can use to launch x431, lexia3, mb star.In contrast, the modern automobile maintenance is based on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic integration of the core of the comprehensive system diagnostics diagnostics.

Automobile Maintenance prominent diagnostic techniques, and to accurately diagnose faults as the goal, fully demonstrating the “seven diagnostic, one-third of repair” of the modern car maintenance methods; a result, many electronics companies have coveted cars, and equipment maintenance markets, have developed to meet the future automotive self-diagnosis tasks.

In the solid basis of development of automotive electronics automobile self-diagnosis function. Do not overlook the launch x431 of use.Since the beginning of electronic technology and vehicle technology combination, the electronic technology in the car on the increasingly wide range of applications, especially in the field of electronic technology of integrated circuits, large-scale integrated circuits and VLSI development, a car special offers functionality, reliability, fast response, low cost of automotive electronic control systems.

However, the electronic vehicle control, but also brought new problems. First, automobile electronic control systems become more complex, more and more difficult vehicle maintenance, vehicle maintenance capability of technical staff is relatively increased; other hand, the electronic control system security debugging features to prevent car because electronic control system itself fails, resulting in vehicle emissions control and can not run.

Therefore, in order to cope with situations such as these, automotive electronic control technology R & D personnel, conducting Vehicle Electronic Control System design, while increasing fault self diagnosis system. It can run the process in the automotive electronic control systems continuously monitor, including: engine start, engine, electronic ignition, fuel injection and other system operation status.

Once Fashengyichang case, Zaigen Ju-specific algorithms calculate Chujutidi Guzhang reasons, and to Dai Ma Xingshicunchu in the driving system (or Chen traffic black box), while the corresponding fault Yunxing module Gongneng start, Shi Chan Sheng failure of Qi Ju Neng to repair shop for maintenance, and technical maintenance personnel can use the vehicle self-diagnostic function to find the fault code for the failure to accurately repair the problem fast.

The basic principle of fault self-diagnosis and composition. Reliability and easy maintenance from the point of view, automotive electronic control system should be equipped with self-diagnostic function; since the 80’s GM vehicles the United States developed the first in a new electronic control system malfunction self-diagnostic function to add, the global world-class car manufacturers emulate, have produced in various electronic control systems equipped with a fault in the self-diagnostic function; after a long period of development, self-diagnostic module will not only address the safety of automobile electronic control systems and vehicle storage memory failure also able to provide immediate car produced by a variety of system operation parameters. Also noted that the use of what tools, such as lexia3 of use.Since then, the “car fault self-diagnosis function” has become the new car factory and car repair workshop fault detection problem indispensable helper.

Battery Trickle Chargers – When To Use A Motorcycle Battery Charger

cramlingtondirect.info2Owners of motorcycle or ATV always complain about their batteries. If you dont have a motorcycle battery charger or a battery trickle charger, you will definitely have problems. A battery will self-discharge at the rate of 5% per month just sitting around. It would seem logical to assume that a low battery can be charged simply by riding your bike or atv. A low battery cannot be fully charged by riding the bike, no matter how far you go.

Lets start with the battery. If the bike is not in use for 30 days, the battery should be placed on charge with a 2 amp or smaller battery trickle charger for 24-48 hours every 30 days with no usage. This would be a very good idea on bikes that are ridden only once or twice a month as well. Most automotive battery chargers charge at 6, 10, or greater amperage. Using a motorcycle battery charger like that will overheat the battery, warping the plates inside until they ground out against each other, shortening battery life. A battery should never be charged at more than 10% of its rated capacity. The largest battery in our industry is 20 amps, so 2 amps is the maximum charge rate for that battery. Anything more will damage it.

Besides damaging the battery when charging at excessive amperage, the battery remains low on charge after the quick charge, and the same damage will occur, even if you are successful in getting the bike to start. Then the charging system will be strained running the bike with the low battery, possibly causing damage to the alternator components.

When a battery is in a low state of charge (for a period of time), the acid in it separates (as mentioned in last paragraph). This causes a condition known as sulfation. Sulfation causes deterioration of the lead plates inside the battery, leading to an early failure. The lower that the batteries state of charge becomes, the faster sulfations effects take over, weakening the battery quicker.

Once a battery has been left completely dead, they will almost always not come back from that totally dead condition. The handful that will, are almost never very reliable or very strong again.

The bottom line to this battery deal is to work to never let the battery go dead or stored in a low state of charge.

It is best to think of motorcycle battery chargers or battery trickle chargers as a maintenance system. A motorcycle battery chargers or battery trickle chargers are basically designed to replace the energy required to start the motorcycle. In effect, a battery that started the bike at 80% charge, will likely only get to 80-85% after running. Not only will riding the bike with a low battery not fully charge the battery, this causes the battery charger to charge as hard as it can while trying to charge the low battery. A motorcycle battery charger or battery trickle charger are not designed to stay at full charge level for extended periods. When required to do so, this over heats rectifiers, stator windings, and regulator components causing them to fail. This only adds to the cost of replacing the battery that was failing anyway.

A motorcycle battery charger or battery trickle charger can be purchased for below $40. If you prefer not to have to remember to plug/unplug the charger during storage, a battery trickle charger is a great solution as they can be left plugged in.

cramlingtondirect.info3History PTFE was accidentally invented by Roy Plunkett of Kinetic Chemicals in 1938. While Plunkett was attempting to make a new CFC refrigerant, the perfluorethylene polymerized in its pressurized storage container, with the iron from the inside of the container acting as a catalyst. Kinetic Chemicals patented it in 1941 and registered the Teflon trademark in 1945. By 1950, DuPont had acquired interest in Kinetic Chemicals and was producing over a million pounds (450 tons) of Teflon per year in Parkersburg, West Virginia. In 1954, French engineer Marc Grgoire created the first pan coated with Teflon non-stick resin under the brand name of Tefal after his wife urged him to try the material he had been using on fishing tackle on her cooking pans. In the United States, Kansas City, Missouri resident Marion A. Trozzolo, who had been using the substance on scientific utensils, marketed the first US-made Teflon coated frying pan, “The Happy Pan,” in 1961. An early advanced use was in the Manhattan Project as a material to coat valves and seals in the pipes holding highly reactive uranium hexafluoride in the vast uranium enrichment plant at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, when it was known as K-25. Properties PTFE is often used to coat non-stick frying pans as it is hydrophobic and possesses fairly high heat resistance. PTFE is a white solid at room temperature, with a density of about 2.2 g/cm3. According to DuPont its melting point is 327C (621F), but its properties degrade above 260C (500F). PTFE gains its properties from the aggregate effect of carbon-fluorine bonds, as do all fluorocarbons. The coefficient of friction of plastics is usually measured against polished steel. PTFE’s coefficient of friction is 0.1 or less, which is the second lowest of any known solid material (diamond-like carbon being the first). PTFE’s resistance to van der Waals forces means that it is the only known surface to which a gecko cannot stick. PTFE has excellent dielectric properties. This is especially true at high radio frequencies, making it suitable for use as an insulator in cables and connector assemblies and as a material for printed circuit boards used at microwave frequencies. Combined with its high melting temperature, this makes it the material of choice as a high-performance substitute for the weaker and lower melting point polyethylene that is commonly used in low-cost applications. Its extremely high bulk resistivity makes it an ideal material for fabricating long life electrets, useful devices that are the electrostatic analogues of magnets. Because of its chemical inertness, PTFE cannot be cross-linked like an elastomer. Therefore it has no “memory,” and is subject to creep, also known as “cold flow” and “compression set”. A little bit of creep allows PTFE seals to conform to mating surfaces better than most other plastic seals. Too much creep, however, and the seal can be compromised. Compounding fillers control unwanted creep and improve wear, friction, and other properties. Sometimes metal springs apply continuous force to PTFE seals to give good contact, while permitting some creep. Due to its low friction, it is used for applications where sliding action of parts is needed: plain bearings, gears, slide plates, etc. In these applications it performs significantly better than nylon and acetal; it is comparable to ultra high-molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), although UHMWPE is more resistant to wear than Teflon. For these applications, versions of Teflon with mineral oil or molybdenum disulfide embedded as additional lubricants in its matrix are being manufactured. Steps To Diagnose A Classic Car Vibration

Driveline vibrations can be tricky to diagnose, because you can’t get under the car and see what is going on while it is driving down the road at 60 MPH. If you have read my first article on the three types of driveline vibration, you have a pretty good way of narrowing down the list of possibilities based on if the vibration is engine speed related, vehicle speed related, or engine load related. Here are some other considerations to keep in mind when diagnosing a classic car vibration.

The first thing to consider is the overall current situation. If this is a new build that has never been run before, then everything is suspect. You may have total faith in your engine builder, but could one of his tools be out of calibration? Is the engine supposed to be externally balanced, and you ordered the correct flywheel but actually received one for an internally balanced engine? Are your driveshaft angles out of spec? Could you possibly have a defective pinion or axle bearing, a bent axle, a warped wheel, or a tire out of balance? Is your exhaust touching the body or another component at any point? Are all the suspension bolts, body to frame bolts, and steering linkage nuts/bolts tight?

If this is a modified car, there are so many more things to think about. If you have 1968 Camaro (my favorite year!) with a Total Cost Involved front end, a late model LS3 engine with home-made engine mount towers, a Keisler transmission, a Currie 9″ rear end, and a Detroit Speed rear spring and shock package, there are a number of different opportunities for incompatibility, not to mention the fact that the car is almost 40 years old and the production tolerances back then were considerably “looser” than they are now. Aftermarket companies usually design their parts to fit a completely stock car, and their parts will usually fit an otherwise unmodified car very well. When you start to combine aftermarket parts from different manufacturers, you sometimes run into problems. The aftermarket front end may be designed to improve cornering ability which changes some geometry that the aftermarket transmission system also changes due to tunnel interference with the transmission, and then the rear end company also takes a few liberties with their design to make the rear end fit several different cars, and the rear suspension company modifies the geometry for maximum traction when drag racing. Each part by itself works perfectly with an otherwise stock car, but when all are combined you can end up with a car where the transmission touches the car body and the driveshaft angles are unacceptable. This of course isn’t always the case, but if you run into a vibration problem on a heavily modified car you need to take this possibility into account.

If it is a recent restoration that was vibration-free before, then first look at anything that was changed, and the relationship all those components have with other systems on the car. If you just swapped a Ford 9″ rear end into your Chevy, the rear end itself may be fine, but you could have altered the driveshaft angles. An angle that was barely acceptable before might be slightly beyond the limit now, creating a vibration.

Sometimes you have to “think outside the box”. I once corrected a “vibration” in a two year old, 25,000 mile Buick Lesabre that had a vibration complaint since day one. It had been to three different dealerships, where they had rebalanced and replaced the tires and wheels several times, had multiple wheel alignments, and even had the shocks and struts replaced. I noticed on a test drive that the vibration was only in the steering wheel. I could not feel it in the seats, the armrests or the dash, or see it in the mirrors. I took it back to the shop and ran over some speed bumps at about 10 MPH to see what happened, and the steering wheel moved about three inches up and down! I was a service writer at the time, and all of the technicians refused to believe that the steering column could be loose from the factory, so none of them would work on it. I dug into the dash and found that two of the four bolts that secure the steering column to the dash were about three turns shy of being even finger tight! It had come that way from the factory, and none of the previous technicians had taken the time to pay attention to what was actually happening with the car. I tightened the loose bolts, and I had a customer for life! Sometimes you have to open your mind a little, and throw all assumptions out the window.

The bottom line is to take your time and consider all the possibilities. Assess the overall situation, drive the car, and think about what is happening. Don’t make any assumptions, and realize that aftermarket parts from different reputable companies aren’t always designed to work with each other. Have an open mind, and with patience any vibration problem can be diagnosed and corrected.

Automotive Service: Going Green!

Many vehicle owners are looking for ways to become more environmentally friendly with their vehicle. A schedule of basic automotive service or keeping up with seemingly insignificant issues of automotive repair may not have entered their mind.

But, just by following the four simple steps below, drivers can save money, and help protect the environment at the same time.

1. Regular automotive service. This includes checking engine performance, keeping tires properly inflated, replacing air filters, regular oil changes, and checking the gas cap. Routine automotive service helps reduce emissions and fuel consumption, keeping the air we breathe cleaner, and saving you money at the pump.
2. Keep your current vehicle. Limit the number of new cars you buy over the course of a lifetime. Extending vehicle life is as simple as quality automotive service on a regular basis, and not neglecting any necessary automotive repair issues. You’ll gain years of reliable service without monthly car payments and higher insurance rates.
3. Recycle. By recycling and properly disposing of motor oil, tires, batteries, and other used parts and fluids, you are helping protect our earth as you practice good automotive service and repair.
4. Repower your engine. If you are facing serious engine trouble, consider a remanufactured or rebuilt engine. It can give your vehicle new life and make it more fuel efficient for about the cost of an average down payment on a new car.

Remember:Taking care of the appropriate automotive service and having the right automotive repair performed on a regular basis will go a long way toward protecting the environment and saving you money.

Auto Repair Shops – Scheduling Software To Improve Customer Service

Everyone is doing now doing almost anything online, as long as the necessary action does not require a physical presence. It is ideal for situations that require an exchange in information, and in the digital age, all information can simply be transferred to the digital format.

Online appointment scheduling can be a benefit to almost any business, including an automotive service and repair business. Automobile owners have become accustomed to having their autos checked periodically. We know that it necessary for proper maintenance and to extend the life of the automobile. The customary way of doing this, is usually to call the automotive service and repair shop, or the location where your vehicle is serviced and book and appointment. You may be fortunate enough to get an appropriate time in which to bring in the vehicle, but many times you may be forced to re-arrange your schedule, without knowing that your vehicle may be unavailable for a certain period.

There is now a way to avoid these inconveniences. Your automotive service and repair shop should have on online appointment and scheduling system. We are now in an age where anyone can be easily connected to the internet. Experts predict that in the coming years, being always online will become a natural part of being alive. Just as we need to continue breathing in air in order to live, we will need to be connected to the internet. The web can now be accessed from anywhere, from boats, planes, trains, autos, and the number of mobile devices that can access the web far exceeds desktop computers. Cheaper prices for bandwidth, and lower prices for electronic products including smartphones and tablets, bring accessibility to everyone. More appliances, and even clothing, will be enabled with access to the web in the very near future.

This means that customers will need fast and easy access to do things like booking appointments for automotive service and repair. The process is simple. You go online and reserve a required time, and get immediate confirmation. You can then re-arrange your other activities with some degree of confidence.

There are multiple benefits in the process, not only for the customer, but also for the business owner, who can then build a very valuable asset of a database of customers. Business owners can fully realize that it can cost up to 8 times as much to obtain new clients than it is to obtain new ones, and with a much valued client database, it can easily be more cost effective to maintain a business with existing customers. These clients can be contacted and notified of special deals or promotions.

It can also be done, by reading Quick Response codes that will re-direct the user to the Online Scheduling application, where the data can be entered. Manual transfer of information which is often accompanied by the opportunity for mistakes is eliminated. The process is secure, as it is now a legal requirement for all sensitive data to be encrypted. The software can even be integrated with your social networking accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook. More businesses of varying sizes are quickly appreciating the benefits that are realized with online scheduling and appointment software.

All Is Well With The Willys

In New Delhi: Indian Times News Network has reported that the Willys Jeep which was popular during the Second World War in the forties was recently reported to be going strong. It should be noted that the Willys Jeep has become an icon before the 70s and 80s and has continued to be so until new age vehicles took over.

In a small and dusty town of Punjab, there is still a strong market for the old and abandoned Jeep chassis which automobile lovers go to shop. The largest second-hand jeep market of Moga has connoisseurs that have even descended from the hilly reigns of Shimla, and a number of other states. And thats not all! Who would ever think that the famous Porsche preferring NRI clan in Punjab has become an avid follower of the Jeep Mandi?

According to Mohinder Singh, one of the dealers in Moga, if you see the old chassis and new Jeep Willys, you will not be able to find even one fault in the car and one look at it will make you buy it. Furthermore, once the Willys price is told, next time you know its gone. It only takes about 60 seconds to sell a Willys. The price range of a Willys Jeep starts from Rs 1.65 lakh to a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. The Jeep with all its wonders is one incredible purchase.

The abandoned chassis is fitted with a top of the line Toyota turbo diesel engine which is preferred for its high fuel efficiency and pick up performance and cost about Rs 40,000. Also available are modern accessories and chrome alloys with price ranging from Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000. The prices also include the margin of dealers that reaches up to Rs 30,000.

The Willys were given post modifications and are set to hit the road. The main road of Moga is flooded with different people especially during Sundays, who converge to the place not only to buy the latest Jeep but also to get the best set of wheels for their vehicles. The latest open air Jeep with its low price tag is not a bad buy at all especially since most of its components like for instance its Jeep exhaust manifold and other auto parts have undergone the same stern quality test as that of the range toppers.

Jagmohan Singh, another Jeep dealer in Moga, There are close to 100 dealers here in the city and each dealer sold at least 10 Jeeps every week. That transpires into a lot of business for us. Many ministers and local MLAs also come here. In fact, most of the students purchasing the Jeep end up getting upgrades every week.

The Moga Jeep Mandi has been in close competition with the Dabwali Mandi which is situated in Sangrur. But according to dealers from Moga they have been able to surpass the Dabwali benchmark since they sell more Jeeps. Most of the dealers purchase their chassis from army auctions but since the auction have ceased, dealers from villagers provide the Jeep Mandi with chassis. Such trade has not affected business at all. The Moga treatment to Jeep has been selling like hotcakes and this has been going on prior to the changes from the army side.

Alcohol X Gasoline Learn the myths and truths

Since its launch in 2003, the flex has dominated the market and expanded the options for drivers. Most plants offer models with both fuels: ethanol and gasoline. Ethanol has always been cheaper compared to gasoline, which creates the illusion of saving fueling him. But is it always fill your car advantage with alcohol?

The answer is no. While it is cheaper alcohol has lower performance than gasoline, or spend more to rotate the same distance as gasoline. In numbers, this means that a car fueled with ethanol consumes 30% more fuel. So there’s only advantage in putting alcohol in the car if the cost of fuel is up to 70% of the price of gasoline.

To check if it’s worth just make an account is simple. Divide the value of a liter of gasoline by alcohol. If the result is less than 0.7, the alcohol use. If larger choice gasoline. Example: the value of alcohol and $ 1.45 gasoline, $ 2.90. This result of the division of first by second, is 0.5, which is smaller than 0.7 (70%). Soon, more advantageous fuel with alcohol.

Vale points out that the advantage of gasoline in autonomy is applied to all vehicles, either 1.0 or 2.0, for example. Also there is no influence of other factors that consume more fuel as the use of air conditioning, heavy car, transit or stretches of mountains.

Regarding motor

There are many stories that fuel the car is better than alcohol with gasoline, as ethanol is not as “good” as gasoline. Have also heard that the car gets used with a fuel, or even if the car constantly fill with alcohol, will sometimes supply with gasoline. For specialist automakers and this is myth!

With current technology, in relation to maintenance and wear of parts of motor cars with flex, no noticeable differences or problems arising in supply for any alcohol-gasoline ratio. What is remember to do mechanical processing, ie when the car does not come in factory original format bi fuel may cause problems.

Today is another reality. Proof of this is that hybrid cars do not need more alcohol to warm up before starting to run.

What fuel pollutes more?

Alcohol Fuel: Composed of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen. Also called ethanol or ethyl alcohol, is produced by fermentation from sugar cane, ie it is not a fuel derived from petroleum, for that alone takes advantage burning emits less greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

The calorific value of alcohol is 6300 cal / g, this value represents the ability of the fuel to release energy when burned. In the case of alcohol the value is high, meaning that he is able to move the car with less fuel burning, which reflects in less pollutants.

Gasoline: basically composed of hydrocarbons (carbon and hydrogen). Presents as its combustion products, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a dangerous gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect and global warming. Already the carbon monoxide (CO) is a gas formed by incomplete combustion and accumulates in our atmosphere as a pollutant (smog haze = dark). Both are harmful to humanity. Ethanol is a fuel that does not affect the ozone layer. (Source: mundoeducao)

Conclusion. If you want to contribute something to the environment can get in position, choosing fuel. For this purpose, alcohol is the best option.

Automotive Direct Mail For Car Sales: Basic Understanding

We all know that there’s an indirect relationship between sales and advertising- when your sales drops you know you need to do some advertising. But what happens if your sales are good? Do you still need advertising? The answer is YES! Especially in the automotive world, branding is vital and one of the best ways to brand your dealership is through Automotive Direct Mail Marketing.

What is Automotive Direct Mail Marketing?

Auto Dealers often send out mail campaigns via letters, postcards or other self-mailing advertisements to their customer base pushing their offers on service, discounts on cars or even on their products. Many dealerships try to accomplish this on their own within their store. Some dealerships have discovered that it can become extremely tiresome, it can be a lot of work, and sometimes they may not get the numbers in return they were looking for; hence this is the reason why most Auto dealers prefer outsourcing the job to the very professionals who’re trained in creating custom tailored direct mail campaigns.

What are the benefits to automotive direct mail?

Automotive direct mail has been around a very long time and it has kept our postal workers busy. Having the ability to target your primary customer is a huge benefit. The message that’s to be sent can be direct and straight to the point to the customer. Unlike other forms of non-targeted advertising which have to make use of colorful visuals or a broad message that tend to leave the customer weary. Automotive Direct Mail also allows you to personalize the mail pieces with variable data and purls. Direct mail and the auto industry go hand in hand and the results speak for themselves. We are certain that you will see a higher ROI as compared to other forms like newspaper print or TV advertising.

How to Choose the Right Marketing Company?

The automotive direct mail marketing company that you choose should be able to offer a turnkey comprehensive solution that not only includes direct mail advertising but also the capabilities to do Automotive SEO, and pay-per-click services. Each of these forms have their own advantage and must be applied in order to achieve the fullest results. You may also want to check and see if the marketing companies have referrals and confirm that they are innovative and on the cutting edge. Who needs a stale advertising campaign? Another important aspect to look at, especially, when it comes to Automotive SEO is their optimized content; make sure they understand your industry and who your target market is when they are writing your keyword content. They should be able to highlight the subtle, as well as large points of your business that will ultimately produce more business for you. Businesses that are well versed in the automotive industry should always be your first choice. While a full service automotive SEO company may take the entire job off your shoulders, a not so professional service provider which does not have the adequate staff, leaves you to manage everything. We know how important your time is! An ideal company to select is where the direct marketing plays a significant role, they have a qualified staff, and they are extensively knowledgeable of the automotive industry. The company should also give you regular updates on all the work they will be providing for you.

Maintenance Of Car Interiors

For some, it is just a walk in the park to get your car looking all shiny from the outside. However, it is an entirely different story when it comes to keeping the interiors looking the same way.

It is of vital importance to take good care of the car’s interior as it not only keeps it clean and fresh, but in the long run will also impact in adding to the resale value of the automobile. A well maintained interior undoubtedly improves the driving experience as well.

Taking a few precautionary measures would not hurt, as this would reduce the burden of cleaning the interiors later on. The following guidelines would keep your car looking as good as new always.

1) Use of rubber mats:

We tend to bring in a lot of dirt into the car through our footwear. It would be a great idea to supplement the factory cloth mats with rubber or plastic mats. These mats protect the fabric below as they act as excellent dust collectors. They are also less prone to damage when compared to cloth mats.

2) Drive with air conditioning on:

There is a lot of dust in the atmosphere. Accumulation of dust in a car causes the interiors to age much faster. This reduces the overall aesthetic beauty of the car and hence affects its resale value. Hence it is always advisable to drive with the air conditioning on.

3) Do not eat, drink or smoke in the car:

We all try to be careful while consuming beverages in the car. Don’t we? Irrespective of our efforts, we tend to make mistakes which badly stain the upholstery of the car. You can always make out from the interiors of a car to identify whether the driver smokes or not. More often than not you would always find burn patches here and there which are non-repairable.

4) Vacuuming:

Vacuuming is the best method to keep a car’s inside spick and span. It helps remove dirt hidden in various nook and crannies of the car. It helps you reach areas that are non-accessible to your hands and hence helps in deep cleansing of the car.

5) Upholstery cleaners:

Although Vacuuming helps to capture loose dirt, it is of little use when it comes to cleaning tough stains. Use high quality upholstery cleaners in order to do away with the blemishes. To retain the suppleness of the fabric, always blot the stains with the cleaner instead of rubbing over them.

The Automotive Employment Market Is Still an Open Playing Field

In the automotive employment market there are still very attractive job opportunities available all over the world. So if you are in the automotive employment market and want to make a change there are still a lot of opportunities all over the world.

In this modern world there do exist a massive shortage highly skilled automotive technicians all over the world. So if you are a highly skilled auto technician you can choose where you want to work in the world.

By just applying on one of the many automotive recruitment companies web pages, and they will search a job opportunity for you any place in the world. The fact is that a lot of emerging automotive markets have opened up in reasoned years, due to the power shift in the automotive industry.

This automotive employment market is going to become even bigger in the future as all new type of cars is going to hit the market. Like all the “EV” cars that are still in the prototype phase. All these cars will have new technology implemented into them, so new personnel must be trained to work on them in the future.

This will bring a paradigm shift into this automotive employment market, even the training methods and the skill sets that must be trained have to change in the very near future.

This will cause the manufacturers to start running extensive training and develop programs, to have highly skilled technicians to assist them to establish their brand. There will be coming new brands and brand name into the playing field and these brands will need to still build their names in the market place.

To build a brand name you need a powerful after sales service you can assist your customers with. This alone will create a new automotive employment market to the auto industry; just imagine an electronic or chemical engineer working at your local car dealership.

It may sound farfetched but it is possible as the cars in the future will be driven with power plants like fuel cells, hydrogen emission and electric motors. All of this is going to come to the market place in this modern world sooner than most of us do realize. So the predictions are that a big portion of the existing automotive workforce will leave.

They will leave this workforce as they are from the old school with old school principles that will become extinct with this new technology. The human tendencies are that you will stay ignorant if you become a member of the old school club. This only happens as the older people were conditioned that they can only learn something up to a certain age. All of us know this is not true but the system wants them to leave as it is harder to change and old horse to get rid of his or her habits

The system was created to develop a group of slaves that would be easier to condition, into what this slave system needs and not what the workers needs. That is one of the reasons why the older leading hands in the automotive employment market gets removed or retrenched. The general modern business conceptions are that older people are resisters to modern business, as they don’t want to change.

If all this highly skilled people are removed in the future the whole automotive industry will suffer a massive skills and brain lost that could have passed on to the younger people. Findings are that most of this older people in the automotive industry don’t want to share their knowledge and skills anymore, because they don’t see themselves as resistors for future development in the automotive industry.

So the automotive employment market will suffer great losses in the near future, due to this phenomenon.

A Driven market is Heating up within Car Sales Australia

The online car sales market in Australia has been dominated by CarSales.com.au ever since it was first created in 1996, an impressive fifteen years, however new players are pushing hard to fight for a share of the market.

Any effort to compete may be in vain as one of the biggest challenges for other used car sales related websites is to appear in search engine result pages (SERP) for the search terms “car sales” and “used cars”. There is a distinct advantage to the domain name CarSales.com.au as it naturally dominates search engine results for the search query “car sales”, yet there is some variation in SERP position for the next most popular search query “used cars”.

The TradingPost.com.au has recently made a significant effort to compete with the search term “used cars” with obvious SEO optimization techniques as their website has suddenly become visible on the first page of search queries in recent months. It has also been sharing penultimate number 1 position for the Australian version of Google (www.google.com.au) recently which is a surprise to the long term dominance of CarSales.com.au.

Another competitor in the space is CarsGuide.com.au, which is part of News Limited. They have recently taken a different approach to compete with CarSales.com.au by swamping traditional media such as radio and billboards with messages similar to marketing themselves as “the smart choice for selling your car online”. A commentators in the industry suggested that CarsGuide are attempting to establish themselves as the “Number 2” in the industry and have accepted the premise that beating CarSales off their top podium position is an impossibility.

Perhaps such an assumption narrow minded since CarsGuide is a News Limited entity which has tremendous resources at its disposal. After all, News Limited is one of Australia’s largest media conglomerate companies, employing more than 8,000 staff nationwide and approximately 3,000 journalists. The publicly listed company’s interests span newspaper and magazine publishing, Internet, Pay TV, National Rugby League, market research, DVD and film distribution, and film and television production trading assets.

Nonetheless, CarSales announced in their end of Financial Year 2011 Report that Profit was up 35% from the previous financial year to $58.3m after tax. Who would have thought that a website dedicated to facilitating the selling of vehicles in Australia would be so profitable? Being a public listed company offers transparency to competitors and may inevitably drive those competitors to the belief that competing is worthwhile.

Meanwhile, there are a number of other sizeable corporations competing as well, including eBay with their “Motors” section in combination with the eBay owned company Gumtree.com.au.

A striking difference between CarSales and its competitors is that CarSales is the most expensive option to list your car for sale in Australia. A direct approach taken by CarsGuide is to simply offer listings for “half the price” at $30 versus $60, however is listing on CarsGuide at least half the value? If we take a look at the “Private Cars for Sale” on CarsGuide, the number of cars listed as at 9th April 2012 is not even close to half with just 12,112 versus 72,819 on CarSales. On these metrics alone it would appear that 16% of the cost compared to CarSales comes to less than $10, so it really does not appear to be good value for money. Of course, the true value for money comes from the number of potential buyers, however these types of metrics are not publicly disclosed.

In contrast, what if we were to analyze the FREE market of online car sales in Australia? Is it possible that there is some value there instead? Thankfully for many faithful users of Gumtree it continues to be a free option available despite its ownership by eBay and it boasts 63,246 cars for sale at the same date. While these numbers appear to be similar to CarSales, the downside however is that Gumtree seems to have significant regional popularity and lacks market penetration in the capital cities throughout Australia. For example, there are only 4,443 cars listed in Brisbane versus 16,341, so the largest population market is still clearly dominated by CarSales.

A surprise competitor in the free Car Sales market however is Boost Classifieds, which boasts 8,615 Private Used Cars listed in Brisbane, which is obviously significant value for money since it is absolutely free.

With such fantastic free options available we’re led to question why people continue to pay to sell their cars online? The simple reasoning is the lack of marketing, while CarsGuide, TradingPost and CarSales can afford to help convince the public that paying to sell their car on their sites is good value for money, the truth is that even selling one of your greatest assets online can be achieved without cost.

Jobs Available with an Automotive School Degree

Many who are interested in getting an education from an automotive school are unsure about the job security an automotive career can offer. There are a wide variety of jobs available to graduates of automotive school programs. Because car ownership and usage has only expanded in the past few decades, and continues to increase dramatically by the year, anyone with an automotive background is virtually assured a job.

Oil and lube technicians
Cars require a lot of regular maintenance, such as oil changes, a service that each car owner will need done every three months or less. As a result, there are many oil and lube shops that provide these services. The tight time schedule many of these shops adhere to ensures plenty of jobs for technicians who have the knowledge and experience to perform these tasks quickly and easily. Any graduate of an automotive school will be able to easily defeat the competition for these positions.

Automotive technicians
Automotive technicians are often hired by shops that provide more services than oil changes, air filter replacements, and other simple maintenance. Automotive technicians may be hired to mount and dismount tires, balance wheels, change brake pads, and perform tune ups, in addition to changing the fluids and filters in cars.

Mechanics
Mechanics tend to have more responsibilities than technicians, therefore requiring more education and experience. Mechanics may do all of the jobs often assigned to automotive technicians, but they also perform more complex repairs. Important components, such as shocks and struts, drive shafts, alternators, starters, etc. are usually replaced by mechanics. Additionally, more complex or critical maintenance tasks, such as readjusting the valve clearance in an engine, replacing the timing belt, and performing other engine work, are done by mechanics. Any good automotive school will provide the education and hands-on training necessary to perform maintenance of this caliber.

Master mechanics
The title of master mechanic is one any automotive school graduate would be proud to hold. Many schools include more advanced degree programs, providing the education and hands-on training necessary to be a master mechanic. Master mechanics can find jobs at almost any high quality automotive shop, garage, or dealership maintenance department. Naturally, the pay for a master mechanic position is considerably higher than that of an automotive technician or mechanic.

Auto body and paint specialists
Most have noticed the increased number of accidents you see on the road today. Someone has to repair all of that damage. Auto body and paint specialists are therefore in quite high demand. Auto body technicians are responsible for replacing exterior body parts and repairing the damage caused in accidents. Paint technicians paint the car once the damage has been repaired and the necessary parts replaced.

Parts sales people
There are, of course, the brave car owners who attempt to keep up on their cars’ maintenance and repairs on their own. Therefore, there are also many parts stores and dealership parts departments to keep up with this demand. Graduates of automotive school programs make great additions to parts sales teams, because they have the ability to do more than just look up a part number and grab the part off the shelf: they can discuss problems with the customers, try to help diagnose, and tackle the problems that occur when parts catalogues are wrong and computers fail. Most part sales departments like to have at least one very knowledgeable person on their team.

Automotive sales people
Just as with parts sales, there isn’t a better person to sell a car than someone who knows a lot about them. If you have an education from a good automotive school and you have a knack for selling just about anything, you will always be guaranteed a job at any car dealership. Dealerships love to have knowledgeable, smooth-talking salespeople on their team. A person to represent the dealership’s interests and also knows cars inside and out.

Automotive manufacturing
There are more and more cars on the road every year. Although there are many unskilled positions in automotive manufacturing, there are also many openings for people who know a lot about cars. An automotive degree will give you the knowledge and experience necessary to quickly climb the ladders in automotive manufacturing.

Automotive design and engineering
Cars change more than their looks each year. Technology is constantly making them better, faster, and more reliable. One of the most prestigious jobs in the automotive world is to be one of the concept designers or engineers who make those new cars possible. Designers and engineers must have a solid understanding of automotive theory, as well as engineering practices. This advanced education begins at a good automotive school.

These are only a few of the many jobs available to automotive school graduates. The automotive industry is a demanding field that includes many different positions, from the creation and sales of brand new cars, to the upkeep and repair of cars that are currently in use. An automotive degree will ensure that you always have a place in this exciting and constantly expanding industry.
